Sewing tricks:
Help Pins “Glide”
Put straight pins in a piece of bar soap to help them go through fabric much easier.
Seam Allowance
Tie 2 pencils together with a rubber band to easily create a seam allowance. The pencils will be about 8 mm apart which makes it easy to go up or down a size.
Second Spool Holder
Add an extra spool to your machine by taping on a wooden dowel that fits your thread.
Thread Needle With Ease
Instead of licking the end of that pesky thread, try using hairspray instead. Give it a quick spray and it’ll stiffen, making it much easier to thread through the needle.
